The Game's Tom Hughes has been cast as Prince Albert alongside Doctor Who's Jenna Coleman in the new ITV series Victoria

Tom Hughes will play Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert


Hughes will star close by Coleman in the eight-section show which records the early existence of Queen Victoria, who will be depicted by Coleman.

She will play a youthful Queen Victoria after her climb to the throne at 18 years old and the arrangement will complete her romance and marriage to Prince Albert.

Victoria went ahead to run for a long time, and was the nation's longest-serving ruler until she was overwhelmed by Elizabeth II on September 9 this year.

Hughes' Prince Albert will be seen from scene three onwards, and the Silk and Cemetery Junction on-screen character said he is "charmed" to be a piece of the undertaking.

He said: "Victoria and Albert's story is one that not just lastingly affected this present nation's history, additionally gives a rich profundity of material to make a connecting with and effective arrangement.
